Our Guest Experience Coordinators try to anticipate your every need before your arrival. Whether you want to explore the local surroundings, go on a fishing charter, or simply stay on the property to enjoy all the amenities we have to offer, we will make sure to satisfy all the work, play, culinary, beverage and entertainment needs of the most discerning and adventurous guests.
Attention to Detail
We will make sure that your refrigerator is fully stocked with the food and beverages that meet your unique taste and requests. With over a dozen TVs, a property-wide audio system, business class WIFI, fully appointed conference room and multiple gaming options, we make sure you always have access to business amenities as well as something relaxing and fun to do.

We are a boutique resort that you will have all to yourself. We have created an atmosphere at The Retreat that fosters inspirational thinking, while also giving everyone the time to relax and have fun.
Designed to meet the destination meeting and retreat needs of senior teams, executive boards, entrepreneurs and Entrepreneur Organizations (EO) and Young Presidents Organizations (YPO) business forum groups, The Retreat is also ideal for destination weddings where you will have your own private resort to celebrate your special day and is a great place to have an intimate family vacation, reunion, or getaway with a group of close friends.
About the Retreat
Opened in 2014, The Retreat in Marathon (“The Retreat”) was designed, and purpose-built as a labor of love by serial entrepreneur John Ratliff. Every detail of the luxury boutique resort property was conceived and meticulously architected with the needs of entrepreneurs, executive teams and forum groups in mind. We have created an inviting, open and luxurious atmosphere at The Retreat that fosters inspirational thinking, while also giving everyone the time to relax and have fun.
